Dell XPS M170 notebook is totally packed with some of the latest technology to help you handle any application, any game or any task with confidence. Powered by a top-shelf processor and graphics engine, the Dell XPS M170 is one of the fastest and slimmest gaming machines we've ever seen.

While price of the XPS is a little higher than average, Dell as always includes professional customer service for the systems. You also receive access to the MCP (Microsoft Certified Professional) support staff for assistance with every kind of problems you might have with the new machine.

Dell has designed this new desktop-replacement laptop specifically for gamers, loading it with the fastest desktop Pentium 4 processors; a big, 17-inch display, with an ultrafine, 1,920x1,200 native resolution; a rich-sounding subwoofer; and an upgraded 256MB ATI Mobility Radeon 9800 graphics chip that kicks serious butt. Naturally, the system's battery life suffers from such fast performance, but with its 11.5-pound travel weight, you'll hardly want to take this system on the road. If you're a gamer who's at peace with keeping the Dell Inspiron XPS on your desk, then by all means, get this laptop.

The volume and DVD playback buttons are located on the front panel which actually turns out to be a very handy feature. The M170 will certainly not disappoint any of the gamers or Internet surfers thanks in part to the set of features that are built in the system, but also to the hot nVidia GeForce Go 7800 GTX with 256 MB graphics memory.

The XPS can be upgraded with a lot of components, such as external USB TV tuner as it is high compatible with most of the last technology devices. It is equipped with 6 USB 2.0 ports to accommodate all the USB peripherals you could want. Dell provided this model with DVD and CD RW and also with a DVI-D port which enables connections to digital displays. Surprisingly, the sound of the speakers is able to create a great ambiance in combination with the subwoofer that is integrated in the base.

The XPS is, moreover, a very elegant model which manages to run easily all the common desktop apps such as email, browsers, office apps etc, and with the beefy GFX card is suitable for most games also. The 17 inch display and the breathtaking sound provided by the subwoofer in combination with the speakers are indeed a feature to remember. As you probably already imagine, equipments like network adapters (modems, Ethernet adapters, or wireless) could not fail to be included.
