DB2 V8 Text Extender for z/OS dependencies
DB2 V8 Text Extender requires z/OS or z/OS.e Text Search which must be installed prior to Text Extender. Text Search requires C/C++ IBM Open Class (IOC) Dynamic Link Libraries (DLLs).
Reducing accounting records
A batch program with very frequent updates and commits (40 a second) in a local table is accessing a table in a remote DB2 by using inactive threads. This process generates a large number of accounting records in the remote DB2 (about 1 accounting record per commit). How has this problem been addressed in Version 8? What can I do in Version 7 to reduce the accounting records?
